The Objects of the South of Scotland Golfers' Association

The objects of the Union shall be:-

1. To further the interests of the game of Golf, and provide guidance   and assistance for Golf Clubs affiliated, or seeking affiliation, to the South of Scotland Golfers' Association.

2. To assist in maintaining a uniform system of handicapping.

3. To arrange Area Amateur Championships.

4. To arrange and run Area Competitions for  Players.

5. To arrange Inter County Matches.

6. To co operate with the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews through the medium of the Scottish Golf Union to which the Association of the South of Scotland Golfers' Clubs is affiliated.

7. To take such action from time to time as the Association may consider desirable for the benefit of its Members.
